"Remember that in every season and every circumstance, God is able to do more than we could ask or imagine when we trust Him with our present and future.” - Chris Brown from Elevation Worship
About The Artist
In 2006, when pastor and songwriter Steven Furtick was just launching Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC, he and his worship team began writing songs and eventually started releasing albums to the general public. His vision was to create a strong, unifying worship culture that made a place for people to connect with God. Between the powerful music of Elevation Worship, as the group came to be called, and the impactful preaching and leadership of Pastor Steven Furtick, this ministry has reached fresh creative and spiritual heights with the release of the band’s provocatively-titled new album, Graves Into Gardens.
The rise and influence of both the church and its innovative music ministry has been unprecedented in contemporary culture. Over the past 14 years, the church has grown into a global phenomenon with a weekly attendance of 25,000 at 20 campuses, with satellite locations reaching from Toronto, Canada to Orlando, Florida, and a worldwide online audience including over 300 watch parties meeting around the globe. As Elevation Church advances, Elevation Worship has experienced the same extraordinary success.
Since 2011, they have released ten successful projects, including Hallelujah Here Below (2018), a Grammy nominee for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. The group is known worldwide for their RIAA platinum-certified song “O Come to the Altar” (which currently has over 95.8 million streams on Spotify) and the RIAA Gold-certified “Do It Again,” both of which reached #2 on Billboard’s Christian AC Songs chart. They have toured nationwide multiple times on bills with Hillsong Worship, multiple Grammy winner Lauren Daigle, Bethel Music, Passion, and others; their 2019 tour included 80 dates.
